Episkopi

Episkopi in Greek means "home of the bishop". The village took its name from the bishopric (Episkopi) created in the village during the 1192-1489 AD Frankish (Lusignan) period.

Episkopi Village is situated 12 km towards Limassol. It lies west of the river "Ezousas" and is a village with a special character. The village has a 60 meter altitude and it’s situated near the west Shore of Kouris River. It is considered important to mention that many areas of the village are under the territory of the British bases of Akrotiri-Episkopi.
